Lakshman Ganesh Rajamani is a highly skilled site reliability engineer with over 10 years of experience in software engineering and reliability engineering across various large-scale organizations. He is currently working as a Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Twitter, where he is responsible for engineering reliability for large-scale systems. Lakshman is proficient in developing software at various different levels of the technology stack and has expertise in automation, monitoring, observability, capacity planning, security, technical leadership, mentoring & guidance, operational excellence, disaster recovery, and CI/CD. In his current role, he is involved in Cloud migration from on-prem datacenters to GCP, real-time and batch streaming of events to on-prem Data platform systems and GCP, Bigquery user onboarding and capacity planning, and enhancing reliability for systems with automation, monitoring, and observability every day. He is also involved in PDP and Security engineering. In his past role as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Twitter, Lakshman was part of the 24/7 on-call rotation for ensuring the availability of several critical Data platform systems. He also created a service for enabling self-service quota management for users to manage their data platform capacity needs, automated the end-to-end management of bare-metal systems used for Data platform services, and created various tools to enable Cloud migration to help migrate data and data processing jobs from on-prem to GCP. Lakshman has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in Computer Science from Anna University. He is proficient in SRE, GCP, CI/CD, and software engineering and has a relevant experience of 12.78 years.
